intro to ashtanga
This class introduces you to the breath work, posture sequencing, and vinyasa of the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. For healthy individuals or athletic students in good physical condition and have some prior yoga experience. This style of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with movement thereby creating an intense internal heat and sweat to purify both the body and the mind.
This class is a mixed skill level and moderately heated to 85-90 degrees. Heat allows for muscles to ease through their full range of motion but is not an excuse to push muscles beyond their limits. Heat improves circulation and metabolism and strengthens the cardiovascular system. Sweating aids in detoxifying the body and rejuvenates the skin.
Please see our Aerial Yoga page for a complete description of our program. Please note our Aerial Yoga has it's own class pass separate from the standard Yoga class passes.
