This class will offer students the opportunity to learn the basics of Aerial Yoga so that they can feel more comfortable when attending all level classes.  We are offering two session days, Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons.  All 4 sessions must be attended on those specific days.  Class attendance can not be mixed.  Each Beginners Series is limited to 10 people. Please sign up for all 4 consecutive Saturdays or Sundays for 4 weeks. To purchase this 4 week package please sign up online and reserve your spot in all 4 classesBeginners series are taught consecutively for 4 weeks.  If you miss a class there is no credit or makeup dates.  If you need to cancel, please remove yourself from classes 2 hours prior to class to avoid being charged a no show fee.  Please review of the select above to learn how to prepare for your first class.  We look forward to flying with you​!

meet your instructor

  • Please arrive to class 15 minutes early so that a hammock is correctly set to your height.  All aerial classes require pre-registration.  Please make sure you have an account created, online waiver is signed, you have paid for classes online and you have signed up for class prior to arriving to the studio.  There is a 2 hour class cancellation policy to avoid being charged for class.
  • Wear a shirt that covers your underarms completely (t-shirts work best). Avoid wearing shorts or very baggy clothing.  Observe good personal hygiene and wear clean clothes to ensure the cleanliness of the hammocks.  Trim your fingernails and toenails
  • Refrain from the use of hand lotion before class. Do not wear jewelry, belts, or clothing with zippers, buttons, gemstones or anything that could potentially snag the fabric.
  • Please do not bring cell phones into the class room.  Your 100% attention to class is important. 
  • Avoid eating or drinking acidic liquids about an hour prior to class. Having a small solid snack in that time frame is fine.
  • Talk to the instructor before class if you have any medical issues that prevent you from inverting or putting pressure on your skin. If you have a spinal injury or medical condition, check with your doctor first.
  • Please follow the same etiquette as you would for our regular yoga classes.

Most people can engage in aerial yoga with few to no problems. how to prepare for aerial yoga

Fi​tness and physical activities have always been a part of Monica's life.  In her senior year of high school, Monica suffered lower back trauma in a car accident.  After years of chronic issues, Monica turned to her personal trainer, Walt Nesbit and also a yoga class at the gym she was attending. With a desire to learn more about this beautiful practice, Monica arrived at Donna Dyer's Yoga H'om. It was there, that the 'yoga' she had been practicing transformed from being just a physical exercise, into a complete mind, body healing and life changing experience. Knowing how greatly yoga affected her life, Monica knew in her heart that she had to share this practice with others and enrolled into Donna's 200-hour teacher training program in 2011.  The desire to learn and share yoga takes Monica to many places. In 2015, Monica tried her first Aerial Yoga class at a Wanderlust Festival.  At that moment, she found her love for FLIGHT and FREEDOM which also relieved her of lower back pain.  In July of 2016, Monica became a certified Aerial Yoga Instructor, through Jayne Bernasconi, from Yoga on York.  Monica is also a TRX Suspension Trainer which expands her knowledge of teaching suspension for strength and balance. Monica's intention is to uplift and send you on your way to a better day. She will continue to grow and expand her knowledge by studying under her master teachers.
